The popular Netflix Original TV show Stranger Things, with its drama, fantasy, and horror, released its second season on October 27th giving fans the alternative to trick or treating on Halloween night.

Season two starts out a year later from the previous season. Set in the 1980s, a new arcade opens in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. The group meets a girl named Max who is exceptionally good at arcade games.

The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory states that they perform scientific research for the United States Department of Energy. Instead, they secretly do experiments in the supernatural and paranormal. These experiments accidentally open up a portal to another dimension.

The portal opens up a way for “demogorgons” (a supernatural creature) to get to Earth and feed on humans. This sets up the main plot for season two. The AV club and their new friend Max are determined to close the portal and save the town.

The Duffer Brothers created the series back in 2016 when the first season was released on Netflix on July 15th. Stranger Things was the first show that they created, wrote, and produced.

Millie Bobby Brown plays “Eleven” in the show. She is a young girl with supernatural powers. Brown is an English actress and model. Brown is a very impressive actress who earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at only the age of 13.

A new character that is introduced in season two is Sadie Sink who plays Max Mayfield. In the show, she goes by the nickname “MadMax” because of her remarkable high scores in the arcade. Previously, Sink was best known for her role in the American Odyssey where she was part of the main cast and appeared in 11 episodes.

The Duffer Brothers created 9 new episodes in Season 2, but that still isn’t enough to satisfy me for longer than a couple of days. The Duffer Brothers say they are going to continue the series to Season 4 and 5 and maybe even Season 6. I am looking forward to the future of Stranger Things on Netflix.
