Looking for an opportunity to connect with classmates? With over 300 community-oriented members, the Junior Optimist Club is an engaging opportunity to play a role in the betterment of our area.

Junior Optimist members participated in more than 4,000 hours and over 100 events serving our community last year. With our constant volunteer events, there are opportunities for everyone. Our events range from building beds for local children without beds, to hosting bake sales that support countries in need, like Ukraine. JOC offers an excellent chance to get involved with the community and serve people in need.

To encourage participation, members are required to complete two hours of service quarterly. We communicate largely through GroupMe and biweekly meetings, which take place every other Thursday at 7:30 A.M. At these meetings, we discuss recent events and successes and enjoy some delicious donuts.

The Junior Optimist members and recent events are often featured and advertised on our Instagram (@pl_junioroptimists). Once new recruits fill out the link below, they will be added to our GroupMe to remain updated.

In JOC, members donate their time and are truly motivated to improve the health of our community and the people around us.
