A total of 150 Prior Lake High School students have earned recognition through the Advanced Placement (AP) program this year, showcasing their exceptional college-level achievement on multiple AP exams.
Every fall, the Advanced Placement (AP) program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP exams. AP Scholar Awards come in different levels, including AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, and AP Scholar with Distinction.
71 PLHS students have been honored with the AP Scholar designation. This recognition is awarded to students who achieve scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
46 PLHS students have earned the AP Scholar with Honor award. This accolade is given to those who not only achieve an average score of at least 3.25 across all AP Exams taken but also score 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
33 PLHS students have been recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction. This prestigious honor is granted to students who maintain an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams and secure scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.
The recognition of these students reflects the high academic standards and rigorous preparation that the AP program upholds. It not only celebrates individual accomplishments but also underscores the commitment of PLHS to fostering an environment where students can be inspired and empowered to reach their full potential.
