Prior to PLHS, I was at an online program. I learned very quickly that I missed interacting with students/families/teachers/people, which is what brought me to PLHS! Prior to my online gig, I was at Farmington High School for about 6 years. I started as the iPad Guy, and I made a name for myself in that capacity and created some much needed cultural changes in the Media Center and the high school in general. Mr. Dan Pickens gave me a shot at a section of the alphabet as a School Counselor about a year into my tenure, and the rest is history.
My wife and I live in Rosemount. She is a SPED teacher of 12 years at Eastview HS. We have 2 kids. Our son Emmitt is a 6 year old in 1st grade at Red Pine Elementary, and our daughter Rowan is 3 going on 13. I love our children and our happy little life. I am a reductionist and believe that “less is more.” I love exploring and going on adventures with my family. Even the mundane moments can be exciting, fresh, and new through the eyes of children.
