Congratulations to Prior Lake High School alumni Daniel Stordahl (PLHS Class of 2024) for being selected for the 2024 AP Art & Design Online Exhibit.
Out of 80,000 student portfolios, Daniel’s work was one of just 50 chosen for this national honor. His digital series, Ultionem Si Julius Caesar (Latin for The Revenge of Julius Caesar), brings history to life through cinematic storytelling and stunning artistry.
PLHS art teacher Brian Perry shared, “Daniel did the background work necessary to make his digital drawings truly spectacular. From sketches and storyboards to the final pieces, he practiced figure drawing, lighting, and perspective to bring his scenes to life.”
Now attending Liberty University in Virginia, Daniel reflected on his time at PLHS, “During the school year, some of my pieces won awards at a local art show, including ‘Caesar Departs from Rome.’ The school displayed my artwork and posted a photo of me holding it, congratulating me for the award. This recognition was encouraging, as teachers I hadn’t spoken to in a while congratulated me, motivating me to put even more effort into my work.”
