Starring Blake Lively as Serena Van Der Woodsen, Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, and Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey.

Directed by many people over the years as the show aired. There were also many different script writers throughout the show. Gossip Girl aired for 5 years consisting of 6 seasons. Throughout the seasons you witness the characters change right before your eyes.

The show takes place in the Upper East Side. Following around entitled children who have grown up in the Upper East Side and have had everything handed to them on a silver platter. Everyone knows who Serena Van Der Woodsen is, she is Blair’s best friend. Everything always revolves around Serena, Blair is tired of always living in her shadow.

Many love triangles occur in Gossip Girl. Scandal is also a key factor in Gossip Girl. Everyone has a little bit of history with each other from beginning step siblings to being secret lovers. Tension between friends arises and relationships form between enemies. Following the characters around the world is an important part of their personal stories.

I really enjoyed the show Gossip Girl. The drama was just enough to keep you entertained but not to much to be annoying. The genre of this show could be considered a drama or romance series.

I would rate the show a 4 out of 4 stars. There is never a dull moment. You become very connected with their stories and their relationships with other people.
